Reynolds takes charge of Dublin minors

ST JUDE’S stalwart Dave Reynolds has been appointed Dublin Minor Men’s Football team manager for the forthcoming inter-county season.

Having served as selector in 2021 – a campaign that saw them losing to eventual All-Ireland champions Meath in a provincial decider – Reynolds assumed the reins from Ger Lyons.

A native of Balbriggan and a member of the O’Dwyers GAA club, Lyons has worked as a school teacher in Coláiste Phádraig, Lucan for a number of years.

BUSTLING Ballyfermot. The streets are busy, Full of friendly greetings. Paul O’Brien knows these parts well. Born and reared. He bought a house on the road where he grew up. “I didn’t stray too far,” he smiles. He’s waiting up at the Ballyfermot De La Salle clubhouse. It’s a neat structure; dressing-rooms, showers, toilets, a gym. And a packet of biscuits for the cup of tea.
